My class with Dave really quelled my fears of taking an on camera commercial class. I was able to put what I learned to use immediately, and appreciated Dave's patience and shared expertise. The course activities added such value to the lesson of the week and I looked forward to participating in each class. I will absolutely be taking more courses with The Commercial Class. I absolutely LOVED the class! I highly recommend it for all bilingual actors. It was both challenging and fun AND super welcoming! It really supported me with executing Spanish copy with ease and confidence. So much so that I booked a Spanish commercial just after the 1st class!

I learned such important details of the commercial process in the Bilingual class with the wonderful Joshua Rodriguez which I immediately applied to my auditions. It has always been my belief that an actor is never done learning, never done improving. At 78, I knew I could learn new & revisit new concepts from Joshua as he, not only is an actor himself, but a casting professional who has seen it all & shares with his class the do's and dont's of this very competitive field in a fun, easy-going, no pressure bilingual class.  I highly recommend it and I hope it continues to benefit our latino community of actors, young and not so young!

I wanted to share my heartfelt gratitude during this past month of class. It is always great to get an insiders view of what happens behind the scenes of this crazy world we are in. I really appreciated the hybrid quality of class as well. Although we focused on self tapes, it was refreshing to come into the studio and be more than boxes on a screen. It helped create a sense of community. 

The energy of class is just what I needed to ignite some fire and you helped me build some more confidence while providing a safe space to workout. THANK YOU!

I just want to say that I found gold with these classes. I have learned so much in the one month of class. I’m prepared to take more classes.
I really enjoyed Jeff’s class and also having Josh in the class. Both men have such great personalities for teaching and together they were a complement to the teaching.
Jeff was excellent at seeing what wasn’t quite working and skilled at giving adjustments without me feeling stupid. It is a vulnerable place to be and I felt safe and secure to try new things and just play to see what works. There was also instruction that was more accurate and we were able to try the more accurate version after our go. All in all, I learned a lot in a safe comfortable environment with very skilled instructors.

Since taking Rob's class a couple of months ago, I've seen a nice increase in callbacks. After one callback a couple of weeks ago, I decided to check my audition reports and realized it had been 14 MONTHS since my last AVAIL....Then it came. A few hours after the callback, I finally had an AVAIL. The next day that AVAIL turned into a BOOKING. For a network national ad campaign that I've loved for years!  The slump has been remedied!I was thrilled to be back on set!

I just wanted to reach out and give a huge THANK YOU to Joy! She offered me a ton of much needed positive affirmation in her advanced class. Teacher to teacher, she fosters such a wonderful learning environment, which isn't easy to do and she makes it look easy. Plus, after way too long of a dry spell, I got a commercial callback after being in class for a few weeks. Joy's got the sauce!!!

I just wanted to say to say special thanks for having me here at the Advanced class with Reece. I got an audition after the first class and two weeks later got the email that I booked the job! My first ever commercial! I’m so stoked to take another class here again in the future! 

I've taken three classes now at The Commercial Class - Rob's 2-week self tape intensive, Joy's intro to commercial acting class, and Reece's advanced class. All the teachers have been great and supportive. I've learned way too much to sum up in a tidy blurb, but I think the biggest take-aways have been: be your best self, have fun, take a breath, be adaptable - casting directors love variation, confidence is sexy, and don't be afraid to read off the board; it's not about being perfect, it's about being authentic and relatable in the given circumstances.

It's definitely made me more confident in my auditioning process.

The Advanced Improv Commercial Class taught by Jonathan Runyon is genius.  I really can't express this enough!  The way he taught was so powerful, so practical, so creative, so educational and so much FUN! 

I cannot speak more highly of The Commercial Class.  I recently finished the ADV class with Jeff, and I had an absolutely wonderful experience.  Through a combination of mock auditions, self tape reviews, redirection and constructive feedback throughout, Jeff expertly guides the ship as only someone with his wealth of experience and love for the craft can do.  I left the class with a sense of confidence and actionable steps to continue on this journey.  10/10 highly recommend. 

I took Joy Lofton’s intro commercial class and I recently booked the lead in a Coke Zero March Madness commercial. Joy was a phenomenal teacher who always encouraged us to be our authentic selves. I took so many notes and throughout my audition process for this commercial, I kept looking over these notes and going over what I learned in her class. Her class and everything I learned will help me for the rest my career! I’m so grateful for Joy!

March Advance commercial Class with Jeff was an amazing experience. Yes, I am a professional and booked several spots but, getting this refresher was so needed. The self-tapes process has changed so much and to get an insight into what casting is seeking from us Actors is a gift in taking this advantage class.Thank you Jeff for your honesty on my bald-fro hair look and your continued support in my audition process while in class. 

I’m so happy I found this place! I took the Adv Commercial Technique class with Jeff, and he is absolutely AMAZING. Jeff is crystal clear in his teaching and gives incredibly insightful feedback.

What stood out most to me is how much Jeff truly cares about his students. One night, I came to class in a bit of a down mood—I was seriously considering walking away from commercial work entirely to focus only on film and TV. Before class started, Jeff noticed something was off. He sat with me, listened, and talked with such honesty and compassion about the industry. That conversation completely shifted my mindset.

I came back a couple of weeks later with a new haircut, ready for new headshots, and—most importantly—feeling like I got my mojo back. Jeff didn’t tell me to do any of that; he simply reminded me of my value in the commercial world.

Thought you’d like to know that I booked a Wal-Mart commercial!! It’s the part I was born to play: Farmhand number 3. But, seriously, this was the easiest spot I’ve ever booked and didn’t hem or haw, I just went with my gut and didn’t worry.I think The WHO is going to be in it. We are singing a line from Who Are You? But I dunno that for sure.Anyway, thanks for all of your support, encouragement and guidance.

Just finished taking the advanced class with Jeff and it was a tremendous experience! He created a welcoming environment that empowered all of us to learn and grow as actors. We received super helpful individualized feedback every session and it's truly been a game changer for my recent auditions. I loved taking Intro to Commercial Audition Technique with Dave Wilder. Dave is an amazing teacher. He is super kind, patient, and funny. For so long I have struggled to do an eating audition. What should I do? How many bites do I take? How big a bite? What should I eat? Dave demystified the eating audition process, giving lots of great tips and tricks, that alone made the class worth it. Now I'm actually super excited to do an audition that requires me to eat!!

Because Dave is a session director he was able to share with us week to week takeaways from running sessions. I found all of his antidotes super comforting and great to learn from. One story he shared was about someone who booked a gig, but was only in the room for 45 seconds. He told us not to beat ourselves up if the audition is quick. I really appreciated that the first half of the class ran like a mock "in person audition" with us waiting outside and then going in to read one by one. This class will definitely help raise your audition confidence. I'm super grateful for Dave and all of his helpful advice

I had the opportunity to work with Robby on a Progressive spot. I've been a professional actor for over 16 years but when I met Robby, I instantly recognized I had a lot to learn from this guy. He is hilarious and an absolute joy to learn from. After my first Hybrid class, I was on AVAIL that same week- just by applying what he taught in that first class! Every class pushed me and left me feeling inspired, confident and ready to rock my next audition. Without a doubt, this is one of the most valuable classes I have taken in town. I just finished taking the Self-Tape class with Rob Brownstein.  That class was great.  Rob provided a lot of great information on set up, lighting, blocking, doing the slates, and critiques on the acting.  After taking his class I came home and looked at some of my old self-tapes and could see why I didn't book roles.  Also in the class it was great to see other people's interpretation of the same sides we were given to perform.  That in of itself was a learning experience, especially because we got to see not only our mistakes but other people's mistakes, and when they did good work with the same sides. I really enjoyed this class. Rob  is a great instructor, very professional and very personable. He spoke highly of the school and with the respect I gained for him I will be taking more classes in the future with the school.  With this class I left feeling prepared and more confident in shooting good self tapes that could help me book a job.  I'm definitely going to recommend this class to other actors.

I completed Rob’s self tape classes and wanted to tell you how GREAT the classes were. Rob is so good at communicating his expertise as a working professional. Plus, he’s honest & fun!
